We are Rick and Carrie Knight, owners of Maid Brigade of Tampa Bay. We’ve owned our business for 12 years.
We never really set out to own a cleaning business, it just turned out that way since we both had stressful corporate jobs and our kids were in daycare. We knew we wanted to have a life where we could put our family first and that’s when we decided that we needed to become business owners.
We researched different businesses for several months and that’s when we stumbled on a cleaning company that happened to be for sale in Tampa. We purchased Maid Brigade on December 1, 2007, which unfortunately, was right at the beginning of the economic recession. Our business struggled for years before we ever gained any traction. We were lucky enough to survive those early days and today we have over 30 employees and 300+ customers.
Our kids, Hailey and Luke also work in the business. Hailey is currently attending college at PHSC and studying Business and Luke is attending Jesuit High School where he also plays football.

Rick is responsible for Operations and Quality Control at Maid Brigade. Rick brings a vast operations background, having worked in the automotive industry for over 15 years prior to joining Maid Brigade. While not at work, Rick enjoys working out and watching his son play football.
Carrie started Maid Brigade back in 2007. She ran the business for several years until Rick joined in 2016. Now Carrie mostly works on back-office duties, including marketing and finance. In her free time, Carrie enjoys Les Mills training and learning all things marketing.
Customer Service Manager
Durinda is our Customer Service Manager who keeps everything running smoothly. She manages all of our employees and customers on a daily basis. She is the friendly voice on the other end who will always make sure she takes care of your requests. In her free time, she enjoys spoiling her three dogs.
Ivanie is our Sales Manager who will work with you during your initial cleaning to our office. Ivanie originally worked in the field as a cleaner and moved into the office in 2017. You’ll enjoy working with Ivanie and she’ll even brighten your day with her upbeat demeanor and personality. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her young son.
